About Neemwood
Family dentistry, explained before we begin.
Our story
Neemwood started in 2015 as one chair in a ground-floor room in Aundh. Dr Tara Khambete had spent six years at a busy city practice, where most appointments lasted ten minutes and many patients left without really knowing what had been done. She wanted a clinic with time to explain.
The name comes from her grandparents' house near Satara, where a neem tree shaded the courtyard. Her grandfather cleaned his teeth with a neem twig every morning and kept most of them into his eighties. It's a reminder that small, regular care does more than big repairs.
In 2019 we added a second chair, and Dr Kabir Sathe joined to look after braces and aligners. Sunita has run the front desk since 2016 and knows most of our patients by name. Pooja looks after instrument cleaning and sterilisation, and she's happy to show you how it works.
We're still small on purpose: two chairs, four people, and enough time for every appointment.
